Rules of the road

We sincerely hope that you enjoy your trip with one of our vehicles; however, we do have certain rules in place to safeguard both ourselves and our valued customers.

The individual who made the reservation, the renter, must be physically present at the time of pickup and undergo driver verification. Additional drivers are certainly welcome if they pass verification, but complications might arise with the insurance if the renter is not verified.

Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the owners to assess and approve guests’ itineraries to ensure that they align with the standards stipulated in the insurance policy. Put simply, the insurance does not cover damages resulting from off-roading, which can be interpreted as straying from established campsites. Consequently, we may request comprehensive details about your trip, including your itinerary and accommodations. If you are unable or unwilling to provide this information, we may choose not to release the vehicle to you upon pickup.

Any non-collision body damage or damage not covered by insurance, such as dents, scratches, and lost or damaged equipment, will be deducted from the security deposit.

Extraordinary cleaning requirements, like carpet cleaning due to spills, will be assessed based on the time and equipment necessary. Permanent damage to bedding, such as stains or tears, or damage to other equipment, will incur charges equal to the replacement cost, which will be deducted from the deposit.

Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited in our vehicles due to the additional cleaning it necessitates. In the event that a vehicle carries a strong smoke odor, aside from campfire smoke, a cleaning fee of $150 will be applied, along with any lost revenue resulting from the extended cleaning duration.

Our Jeeps are equipped with 4-wheel drive, but for insurance reasons, they are strictly limited to paved and maintained dirt roads. Off-road driving, including unmaintained trails, rock crawling, and deep water crossings, is not allowed. Any damage from unauthorized use is the renter’s responsibility.

Remember that all of Montana is bear country, and some campsites only allow hard-sided campers for safety reasons. To help keep the Jeeps food-fragrance-free, the stove in the pull-out kitchen is removable so you can cook highly aromatic meals—such as bacon or Thai dishes—away from the vehicle.

Additionally, no food, scented toiletries, or fragrant items (such as lotions or toothpaste) should be stored in the tent. These scents can attract wildlife, including bears. Always follow campground food storage regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip!

Lastly, our vehicles are not authorized for towing purposes except when utilizing our designated addons.

Cancellation policy

Since RV rentals are booked months in advance, cancellations significantly impact our ability to rebook the vehicle. For this reason, we have a strict cancellation policy to ensure fairness for all guests. We strongly recommend reviewing our policy before booking and considering travel insurance for added flexibility.

Once your booking is confirmed, you can cancel within 48 hours for a full refund, as long as at least 14 days remain before departure.

Cancel more than 14 days before your trip begins: 50% of the booking total is refundable (you pay 50%)
Cancel 14 or fewer days before your trip begins: 0% of the booking total is refundable (you pay 100%)
